Topic: DIRFloortime

Description: Learn about DIRFloortime (Developmental, Individual-differences, and Relationship-based), a therapeutic approach that focuses on building relationships and fostering healthy social-emotional development in children, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental differences. It's a play-based method where adults engage with children at their level, following their lead and using their interests to create meaningful interactions.

Presenter: Rachel Galant, Pharm.D., M.A. in IECD, DIRFloortime® Certified, Child Development Specialist

Rachel Galant, Pharm.D., MA, is a DIR Floortime-certified relationship-based play therapist and the founder of *Developmental Bridges*. She holds a Doctor of Pharmacy and a Master’s in Infant and Child Development with an emphasis on mental health and developmental delays and is currently completing her dissertation to fulfill her Ph.D. Rachel works with children on the autism spectrum, as well as those with other developmental delays and mental health challenges. She has contributed to the MTA and Preschool ADHD studies and led the Prop 10 clinic at UCI. Rachel specializes in developmental therapy through a whole-child lens and values interdisciplinary collaboration.
