Presentation Description 
In this talk, Dr. King will provide a brief orientation to considerations for targeting trauma in DBT. She will address the following:
  1. describe ways that trauma can affect clients with BPD or other difficulties regulating emotion and how their symptoms develop, 
  2. discuss patterns that can arise during trauma treatment for these clients, 
  3. explain how the principles of DBT can be applied to help clients prepare for trauma treatment,
  4. provide strategies that can help support these clients to benefit from trauma therapy.
