Join us for the next LGBTQ+ Special Interest Group meeting! Working with the Intersectionality of ADHD and LGBTQ+ Relationships Guest Speaker: Dr. Shannon Thomas Wednesday, November 12th from noon-1pm (virtual meeting, link to be sent closer to the event) Dr. Shannon N. Thomas, Psy.D. works at a private practice in Los Angeles, specializing in both psychotherapy (with expertise in ADHD, anxiety, and relationship issues) and assessment (specializing in ADHD, cognitive, mood, and learning disorder testing). Her population of specialty is queer and trans individuals. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Thomas teaches Master's Level students at Antioch University in Human Sexuality, Psychopharmacology, Family Violence & Abuse within LGBTQIA+ Communities, and Domestic Violence: Child, Intimate Partner, and Elder. She also teaches doctoral students Research Methods at Fuller Graduate School of Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy and has taught Fuller's MFT students Gender and Sexuality. Dr. Thomas is also the current president of the San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association (SGVPA): a local community and networking organization for mental health professionals, both students and licensed professionals alike.
