In May 2013 Compulsive Hoarding was first defined as a mental disorder in the 5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM). Hoarding: An Excavation Beneath the Piles is a workshop designed for professionals and family members affected by people who hoard.
Regina Lark, Ph.D., the founder and owner A Clear Path, LLC, is a Certified Professional Organizer in Chronic Disorganization (CPO-CD), with certificates in chronic disorganization, ADHD, and compulsive hoarding. She is a Professional Member of the National Speakers’ Association. Dr. Lark works particularly with clients with brain-based conditions. She earned a History Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.

Course Goals and Educational Objectives: 1. Analyze when disorganization becomes chronic disorganization, & chronic disorganization becomes hoarding.

The Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA) is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. LACPA maintains responsibility for this program and its content. This course may be taken to satisfy the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) continuing education requirements.
