This lecture and discussion will delve into the biological, psychological, and social aspects of microaggression, as well as effective ways to begin building awareness and competence in reducing them through microinterventions.
Cris Scaglione, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience in neuropsychology, geropsychology, and rehabilitation. She teaches part time, and works in a group practice, mostly with young adults with complex issues, which require a trauma-focused biopsychosocial perspective. Training in anthropology, and involvement in the LGBTQ and other minoritized communities contribute to a keen interest in multicultural psychology and social justice.
