The mission of the Arts, Creativity, and Culture Committee is to use the arts and other creative productions as a means of self-care, psychological expression, as well as meaningful connection with fellow professionals and the community at large. The arts provide a universal language that illuminates while helping to heal personal traumas and social injustices. The arts are also a tool for presenting and bridging cultural diversity. This committee provides opportunities for clinicians to express themselves creatively as well as share their creative productions with others. The committee will also identify and support creative productions in the community whose mission involves the promotion and improvement of mental health.

Mirrors of the Mind: The Psychotherapist as Artist: which completed its eighth year—is a juried art exhibit most recently held at the Castelli Art Space. The gallery is open to the community and hundreds of individuals have attended this event.

Theater of the Mind: The Psychotherapist as Performer: which is now in its second year—is an evening of theater, created by psychotherapists for fellow professionals and the public at large. The programming includes all of the performing arts in a variety of style production. Acts include music, comedy, film, theater, and dance.
