Position: Psychologist – Multiple Locations Hiring!

The past few years have seen dramatic shifts in the health care landscape. California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is poised to meet the evolving clinical care demands of our patient population while responding to the day-to-day needs of our dedicated providers. 

$162,372 – Licensed
$133,932 – Pre-Licensed

Psychologists providing in-person care in an inpatient unit will receive:

$186,720 – Licensed
$154,020 – Pre-Licensed 

Restructured Recruitment and Retention Bonus 
Recruitment and Retention Bonus for clinicians newly hired with the State of CA has been restructured to provide a 1% bonus for the first 7 years, increasing by 1% year over year, maxing at a 7% bonus by year 7. 

Psychologists newly hired with the State of CA are also eligible to receive a recruitment and retention bonus of up to $30,000 within the first 12 months of service. 

Referral Bonus
All CDCR/CCHCS employees that refer a mental health clinician who is successfully hired by CCHCS may be eligible to receive a referral bonus of $5,000 per appointed referral.

Overview: 
Join our dedicated clinical team as a licensed Psychologist in California, where you will play a vital role in providing quality mental health services to a diverse client population. Job Description 
We are seeking a California licensed Psychologist (PsyD, PhD) to deliver psychotherapy treatment and assessment services. The ideal candidate will engage with clients presenting a variety of concerns, with demonstrated expertise in working with adolescents, adults, families, and/or couples. This full-time position offers a flexible schedule of 5 days per week, negotiable Sunday – Saturday. The role allows for a totally in-office or hybrid work environment combining remote and in-person time. 

Key Responsibilities: 
Provide individual, family, couples, and/or group therapy sessions for clients with diverse backgrounds and present issues. 
Conduct comprehensive and tailored assessments. 
Engage in ongoing supervision of registered psychological associates and interns. 
Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development workshops. 
Embrace technology in therapy and communication with clients and staff. 
Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards. 

Minimum Position Qualifications: 
Active California psychologist license. 
Minimum of 2 years post-licensure experience in treatment and assessment duties. 
Demonstrated ability to relate well with clients from various ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. 
Required experience in one or more of the following areas: 
Couples therapy 
LGBTQ+ clients 
Older adults 
Diverse ethnic populations (African Americans, Asians, Hispanic Americans) 
Children 
Bilingual Spanish 
EMDR proficiency 
Comfort and familiarity with technology to enhance therapeutic interventions. 
Additional Preferred Qualifications: 
Interest or background in diversity and inclusion initiatives. 
Open to additional training in specialized therapeutic modalities or techniques. 

Work Hours: 
Flexible options to work evenings or weekends. 
Compensation and Benefits: 
Competitive compensation ranging from 100,000 to 125,000 per year.
