Our objective is to help members of LACPA increase their knowledge of issues related to child and adolescent development.  We also work to promote a sense of community among child and adolescent specialists within LACPA and help the LACPA community build stronger and closer ties to other practitioners who serve the needs of children and adolescents throughout Greater Los Angeles.

The objective of our SIG is to provide members of LACPA with an opportunity to meet and learn about issues that are important to the child and adolescent development. We host four to five presentations each year. These presentations are led by experts on child and adolescent issues. We identify individuals whose work is widely recognized, accepted, and adheres to the highest professional standards.

Another objective of our SIG is to organize gatherings at which LACPA members can meet and interact with practitioners from Greater Los Angeles who also serve the needs of children and adolescents. These other individuals include educational therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, child advocates, school administrators, and other educators.
