Community Outreach Committee

The Community Outreach Committee of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association is dedicated to increasing the awareness of the general public about mental health issues and building relationships with community organizations, organizational leaders, and individuals. We foster a culture of inclusiveness and respect for diversity in our organization and in all of our community outreach efforts. Any current member of LACPA expressing interest in current or developing community projects is free to join. In order to participate in planning and putting on educational events and other community outreach projects, member skills and areas of expertise must match up with project needs. The Community Outreach Committee is comprised of psychologists, students and other LACPA members, who are interested in current or developing community projects and working to support the provision of education and training on mental health issues that will benefit the general public. The committee meets every quarter at either the LACPA office, a mutually agreed upon location, or by online video conference call. |
