LACPA’s Child and Adolescent SIG welcomes Stephanie Tamara Mihalas Ph.D. NCSP ABPP

TopicThe Difference Between School Problems and Full Blown School Refusal (Relevance to Covid-19 dynamics will also be discussed)

Presenter: Stephanie Tamara Mihalas Ph.D. NCSP ABPP

Dr. Mihalas is a licensed and board-certified psychologist, as well as a nationally certified school psychologist. Mihalas also maintains a position as Assistant Clinical Faculty at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Mihalas founded The Center for Well Being in Los Angeles, California where she provides individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Areas of clinical specialty include chronic and rare diseases in children (adults/family system), failure to launch, intergenerational trauma as it relates to parenting, anxiety disorders and the subsequent manifestations at school and in the family system, and bullying (school, family, workplace). Additionally, she provides mentorship and supervision to students and fellows. Mihalas has won two presidential citations from Division 42 of The American Psychological Association and an Award of Mentorship on behalf of Division 42 of The American Psychological Association.
