Please join the Sexuality and Sex Therapy SIG for our June event!  It will take place virtually on Zoom.

Time:  3:00-4:30 p.m.

Topic: Sexuality in Later Life:  Challenges and Opportunities for Psychologists

In this presentation, Dr. Schultz will present on a biopsychosocial view of sexuality in later life, focusing on sexual satisfaction, sexual expression, and sexual expectations during the latter portion of the lifespan.  Attendees are encouraged to bring in examples of issues of sexuality in the latter portion of life from their clinical practice for discussion and analysis.

 

Presenter:  Donald Schultz, Ph.D.

Donald Schultz, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and geropsychologist, and a Full Professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  He teaches courses in gerontology, life span development, family systems, existential-humanistic psychology, and various other areas within the clinical psychology realm.  Dr. Schultz received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Arts in General-Experimental Psychology from California State University, Northridge, and his Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from the California Graduate Institute, where he also earned a Certificate in Gerontology.  He is certified as an Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias Treatment Specialist (ADODTS) from the Association for Advanced Training in the Behavioral Sciences and serves as the leader of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association’s Geropsychology Special Interest Group.
