Artist information: Lorraine Rimbey is originally from Illinois but has spent most of her adult life in Arizona and considers the Southwest home. Creativity is an important influence and is often reflected in how she chooses to spend her time. She is a licensed Hairstylist, as well as an artist. Making opportunities to spend mornings in her garden is a beloved pastime, obvious in some of the florals she paints.
Creative exploration has been part of Lorraine’s life for as long as she can remember. She participated in her first watercolor class at a friend’s invitation, so they could have some adult interaction, as they were both young moms at the time. Many years and classes later, she continues to enjoy the medium of watercolor and has recently expanded to paint in pastel.

Lorraine takes joy in sharing her knowledge and the gift of painting in the classes she teaches.
She is a member of the Gilbert Visual Art League and Arizona Art Alliance. She has exhibited her work in juried shows where she has been recognized with awards. She accepts commission requests for a special gift, and she’s often called upon to memorialize a favorite image of a trip.

Lorraine and her husband Mike reside in Chandler, AZ. Between them they have 5 adult children and 12 grandchildren.
