Hello LACPA!
If you're curious about EMDR, join us for our next Trauma SIG meeting on Wednesday February 21st from 12pm-1pm. Dr. Sara Fraser will be leading us through an Introduction to EMDR. If you are new to EMDR, this brief overview will not be sufficient to practice EMDR. However, we will be discussing the fundamentals of EMDR, best practices, and resources on where to get more training/certification.

Dr. Sara Fraser is a clinical psychologist in private practice. Her practice is now online following many years of in-person work with kids, teens, families and individual adults in her private practice on the eastside of LA where she has been in full time private practice since 2017. Prior to that, she worked in the Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center and then as the School Psychologist and Director of Student Support Services at Curtis School, a private elementary school in West LA. She completed her PhD at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby British Columbia, her pre-doctoral internship at BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver BC and her post-doctoral fellowship in Los Angeles at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She is a certified EMDR therapist and feels passionate about this modality in its applications to trauma and healing. You can find her at her website at www.drsarafraser.com.
