Abstract:
Ultra-processed foods have recently been implicated in addiction-like eating, although there is no formal diagnosis for ultra-processed food addiction. Research has consistently documented links between ultra-processed foods and adverse mental health, including depression. In addition to covering the latest research linking to mental health, this presentation will address controversies and highlight phenotypic differences across the eating disorder spectrum.
