Mid-year Reflection
So many of us make resolutions or set goals for ourselves and our families at the top of the year and for many the goals may not get revisited once the year is in full swing. Folks may easily find themselves focused on the crise du jour as the umbrella goals for the year begin to fade into the background. If we are being honest with our¬selves, I suspect that most of us would admit to falling into this pattern at least a time or two.
As I do my best to lead our organization, I am intentionally taking a moment to pause at this mid-year point. I am sitting with myself and I am sitting with our lead¬ers. I am creating the opportunity for us all to pause and reflect. We should be thought¬fully high-fiving one another for the things that are working and we are mindfully naming areas that need improvement. As a valued member of our organization, I en¬courage you to do the same. Later this year we will be distributing a membership survey in hopes of getting your honest feedback. However, please know that you never have to wait for an invitation. I welcome your feedback today and any day because I recog-nize that the organization would be nothing without you. As such, I invite you to join me in this moment of mid-year reflection, and I welcome your thoughts, comments, and feedback.
LACPA Family, I see you; I admire you; and I appreciate you!
